Sight-seeing in D.C.

Another weekend, another outing.  I am truly amazed at the amount of art and sculptures hidden within Washington D.C.  Most is in museums, but some incredible works lie within the shade of the trees, rarely seen by the travelers or even the locals.  I am always amazed by sculptures and statues - to be a painter is a wonderful skill but to work in three dimensions is incredible.  This was a casual outing, and during the walk from our car to the Smithsonian Museums, I came across this statue named Golden Woman with Deer.

And this work of art in the Sculpture Garden.

And below are just a few from the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and the Smithsonian Museum of Air and Space.

Enjoy!
